The Challenge
The goal was ambitious. To digitalize the book loan processes of one of the largest libraries in the country, the famous Information Resource Center (IRC), at Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Perak. From our initial conversation, we identified that the current book loaning process was done manually, with a team of librarians having to deal with volumes of books being borrowed day in day out. To give a perspective, we are talking about over 210,000 volumes of items.
The Approach
To build this platform required a lot of discovery sessions. This is to understand the current sales process of the library. We then recognize the repetition. Secondly, we will require working with a new payment gateway provider to allow customers to pay on the website. We then carried out our usual approach:
